Some New Pulled Art...

Sorry to be away so long. 

My daughter has been here for a visit. 

So not much art got done!

This is a piece of pulled art I did one afternoon. 

I saw the shape of the face in the background...

The rest just fell into place. 

I know her eyes are a bit off 

but that's how I saw her so that's what I painted.

Just the beginning of another face.

She doesn't have hair or eyebrows yet.

Attitude...

I finished the hair.

It's one thing I hate to paint!

She seemed to have attitude so I wanted

her hair to have that same thing.

She still needs hair!

Not sure what this journal spread means 

but it came together with such ease...

The top dark purple area needs a word 

but I haven't thought of one yet...

I started with a magazine picture of the woman, gessoed over it and then painted her face. I'd never tried a face from this angle before....not sure I could do it on my own.

Starting the New Year With Art

On my long blog break I managed to be busy every day but don't have much art to show for it! One new winter girl and a sketch.

Merry Christmas!!!

I think I'm going to take the next week or so off. I know I just did a blog break not that long ago but I want to enjoy the holidays with HB, and Blogland seems to be fairly quiet right now anyway. I might pop in now and then and I'll most likely read a few blogs here and there but I won't be posting much. I'll be back soon with more art!
